several interesting ingredients for a mashup of memes or at least a good dystopian scifi novel (screenplay?):

- happiness science and its relationship to gaming and virtual reality, esp VR reality overlays on life/work
- Paul Hawken's notion of a movement of movements -- a networked loosely coupled mesh of social activism and stewardship and ecological problem solving for a post-oil future
- the supersizing of social media -- the band of participants just keeps growing, the barrier to entry, is it lower, but attention supplies dwindle
- the omnivore's dilemma and the grim supersizing of industrial agriculture and the overall precariousness of our petro-driven food supply chain
